'Explore an imaginative world while taking on English & Math related puzzles!'

This project was created as part of a second year university brief at the University of South Wales, in association with Tiny Rebel Games. The module brief was "The 2020 Which Wasn't". Teams had to make games that were 8 to 10 minutes long, with a novel interaction system, about an event that might have happened in 2020 but didn't.

GAME PREMISE

Your name is Justin and you are known as The Bog Roll Knight, but not to your delight! Experience the imaginative world from the mind of Justin as you prove yourself as a noble and heroic Knight!

​

However, you will not be alone on your journey! Your best friend Emrys the Wizard Frog will be there to help and guide you throughout your adventures as you journey to the castle for the Princess's birthday party!

STORY BIBLE

For this project, I produced a Story Bible which outlined the characters and world of TBRK.

ENGLISH PUZZLE

A rock is blocking your path! You must come up with one of the correct words to move it out of the way!

Puzzle Summary: 

The player approaches a rock blocking the path to the Castle, to proceed they will need to successfully input a word that will make the rock disappear - in this instance 'Remove' was the used word.

MATH PUZZLE

To reach the castle you need to hop across the Lily Pads! Each row of Lily Pads will have a Math question and you need to select the correct Lily Pad to progress.

Puzzle Summary: 

The player needs to reach the castle across the river, to do so they will need to answer each set of Lily Pad questions correctly! In this puzzle the questions vary from Multiplication to Sequence questions.
